In addition per the revised statue of 1846 Chapter 14 of County Officers:

 

“The certificate of the surveyor or his deputy, of any survey made by him of any lands in the county, shall be presumptive evidence of the facts therein contained, unless such surveyor or deputy shall be interested therein.”

 

A boundary survey is evidence of the location of your property line.  Using the county surveyor for this service may prove to be an advantage if a boundary dispute where to develop into legal action (always seek legal counsel when dealing with matters of law).
